The playground equipment at Simpson Crescent Reserve playground, Raumati Beach, was reaching the end of its safe playing life, so we upgraded it.

We proposed design for the new playground equipment that retained the same play values as the existing equipment, although some of the features may have changed. We wanted to create a playground that was accessible, fun, varied, and cater for a wide range of abilities.

Our goal was to design interesting playgrounds that met the needs of both children and their caregivers. We also wanted our new designs to compliment the play equipment available at surrounding playgrounds.
