The playground equipment at Simpson Crescent Reserve playground, Raumati Beach, is reaching the end of its safe playing life, so we're upgrading it.
We have a proposed design for the new playground equipment that will retain the same play values as the existing equipment, although some of the features may change. We want to create playgrounds that are accessible, fun, varied, and cater for a wide range of abilities.
Our goal is to design interesting playgrounds that meet the needs of both children and their caregivers. We also want our new designs to compliment the play equipment available at surrounding playgrounds.
