Consultation has concluded

The playground equipment at Milne Drive Reserve is reaching the end of its safe playing life, so we're revamping it. Thank you for all your ideas, suggestions, and feedback you've provided. We really appreciate your commitment to the community.

Next steps

Installation of the new playground starts on Monday 10 October.

We’d normally avoid school holidays for these types of works, but due to timings and delays we were not able to this time.

While the Milne Drive Reserve playground is out of action, head to www.kapiticoast.govt.nz/findapark to find a park that best suits your whānau's needs.

Questions?

We regularly get asked questions about our playground upgrades and we know they can be a hot topic.

If you have a question that we haven't covered, you can ask us a question below. Or you can get in touch by calling us, 0800 486 486 or emailing playgrounds@kapiticoast.govt.nz.

Consultation has concluded

Each year we carry out a regular renewal programme for playgrounds, as equipment gets near the end of its shelf life. Anything that can still be used is either kept in place or relocated.

We aim to create playgrounds that are accessible, fun, varied, and cater for a wide range of abilities. Our goal is to design interesting playgrounds and open spaces that meet the needs of both children and their caregivers.

If you have a question that we haven't covered on our playground information page, please ask us here and we'll be back in touch.
