Consultation has concluded
The playground equipment at Manawa Avenue Reserve playground, Paraparaumu, has reached the end of its safe playing life, so we're upgrading it.
We proposed a design for the new playground equipment that will retain the same play values as the existing equipment, although some of the features may have changed. Our goal was to design an interesting playground that meets the needs of both children and their caregivers. We also wanted the new design to complement the play equipment available at surrounding playgrounds.
Many thanks to everyone who shared their feedback and ideas on our proposed playground upgrade. The final design below has been signoff and building will start in March.
Our consultation on the proposed design for this playground upgrade has closed. We're reviewing your feedback and working with the playground provider to make any adjustments.
We held in-person consultation at Manawa Avenue Reserve on Sunday 3 November 10.30–11.30am and Wednesday 6 November, 3.30–4.30pm. People could also complete a survey to provide their feedback and post on our ideas board.
Questions?
We regularly get asked questions about our playground upgrades, and we know they can be a hot topic.
