The first stage of consultation has closed. Consultation on the concept design will re-open in November.

Our vision for Maclean Park is a destination for all; a place to meet, play, relax and connect with Kāpiti Island, our heritage and environment.

We’re now delivering Stage 2 of the Maclean Park development plan [PDF 1.08 MB](External link).

This $2.34 million project includes upgrading our much-loved skatepark and over the past few months we’ve gathered lots of input about what's important to you for the upgrade.

Our specialist skatepark designers RICH Landscapes are now working through the input. They’ll prepare a concept design which we’ll share for further feedback in November.

The Stage 2 upgrade also includes building a new fully accessible amenity block with more toilets and new showers and preparing the ground for a future older persons’ recreation areas and water plaza.

Ways to have your say

The skatepark user survey has closed and the next stage of engagement will be in November when we share the designers’ concept for feedback.  In the meantime, you can still email us through the contacts on our website if you have anything else to share as the designers work up the concept.

The results of the skatepark survey are available to view in the Documents section on this page.
