Access development via Gabriel Street instead of Kiwi Road

Access development via Gabriel Street instead of Kiwi Road

The typical traffic conditions on Kiwi Road are that there are cars parked either side of the road and cars need to hold and give way around a curve with restricted viewing. This is immediately south of one of the options of the Kiwi Road access. The increase in volume due to additional housing will make these interactions much more frequent and increase the risk. I'd suggest either: a) Access to the development is via Goldsborough Ave then Gabriel Street via the already council owned land (see attached image, or b) Kiwi Road has an updated traffic environment with parking removed from one side of the street to allow better visibility to oncoming traffic.
