Feedback on the change to electoral signage provisions closed at 5pm Wednesday 11 May 2022. If you have any questions, please email district.planning@kapiticoast.govt.nz

The draft District Plan change will enable us to amend electoral signage provisions to align with the requirements for election advertisements outlined under the Electoral (Advertisements of a Specific Kind) Regulations 2005 (“the Regulations”).

Plan Change 1K proposes increasing the electoral sign size allowed in the District Plan during the election period (both national and local body elections) to up to 3.0 square metres (it is currently up to 2.0 square metres). This aligns with the electoral signage size allowed by the Regulations.
